I know you weren’t talking aboiut the Vietnam war, that was just an example. Yeah, i remember reading history and it was just one royal family that went to Korea to escape persecution in Vietnam during the 1200′s which was the Ly family. That doesn’t mean that the rest of Vietnam went and followed them. Of course it was more respectable since they were higher class royal families. But today you see the scum of Korea and Taiwan marrying Vietnamese.

I’m not Viet but sure as hell know about Vietnamese history that shows the Koreans in the past that did marry with Viets were soldiers in the Vietnam War and that was only some not alot. This sucks, why should taiwanese or korean men marry SE asians, for what? its all headache and waste of time, plus causing social chaos and increasing crimes etc. simply losers will marry them, but educated one will marry educated women anywhere. If wives are dumped, government need spend more money to support them. Why? What for? better send them all back home and lets stay homogenous society. Multiculture is not always good.

I see. Usually it’s rare for a Korean woman to marry a SE Asian man. But since your mom was raised in Vietnam right? Then she should respect the Vietnamese way as well. I salute your mom! But fact is fact and it shows that Korean men marrying Vietnamese women often ends in divorce, abuse or killings. I’m against those kinds of marriage. It’s not even marriage at all, but modern day slavery. It’s up to the Korean people to shape up or ship out.
My father is from Southern Vietnam and my mother is South Korean, but was raised in the same city as my father. They love each other very much and I can say that they did an excellent job raising their children. Yes, I understand that many Korean-Vietnamese marriages (like any marriage between any nationality) can end in heartache and are done for sad reasons, but not all of them are like that.
Koreans are one of the worst people you can marry. I’m surprised your parents made it that far concerning the Korean side can be like assholes. I would rather see Vietnamese marrying Cambodian, Lao or Filipino people than Koreans and Taiwanese. Koreans are developed and advanced material wise, but still not civilized. I really hate Korean Vietnamese marriages!
I’m Vietnamese and I love it! Both my parents are Vietnamese but I was born in the U.S. Every time I go back to Vietnam, I head to the beach or somewhere that I love in Nha Trang (MOM) and Ca Mau (DAD). I am trying to speak other asian languages and I love it! My friend is half korean and half vietnamese, which is pretty sweet. VIETNAM!

It is something like the husband want the wife to be his property or a toy. He is the ONLY ONE who has power in the family and the wife must obey whatever he orders.

I’m biracial with loving parents from South Vietnam and Korea. I show pride for both my countries of origin. Both languages are beautiful and I love speaking them!
The majority of Vietnamese women in Vietnam who marry abroad are to overseas Vietnamese men. I know many Vietnamese men in North America who travelled back to Vietnam, marry a Vietnamese wife, and sponsor them to North America.
It’s pretty simple, same language and cultural background and country of origin tend to marry to each other.
